Von Gregor Gysi (Die Linke) geprägter Ausdruck. Angesichts der verfahrenen Situation der SPD in Thüringen hat Gysi diesen Ausdruck verwendet. Die SPD hat dummerweise vor der Wahl versprochen den charismatischen, intelligenten, gemäßigten Linken Ramelow nicht zum Ministerpräsidenten zu wählen und muss nach der Wahl mit ansehen wie dessen Partei weit vor ihr landete. Nun kann sie nur noch mit einem Wortbruch mit der Linken koalieren, denn diese wird nicht auf das Amt des Ministerpräsidenten verzichten. Andrea Ypsilanti (SPD) steckte in Hessen einst in in einer ähnlichen Situation.

Unfortunately, the SPD promised before the election not to elect the charismatic, intelligent, moderate leftist Ramelow as Minister-President, and now must watch as his party finished far ahead of them after the election. Now, they can only form a coalition with the Left by breaking their promise, as the Left will not give up the position of Minister-President. Andrea Ypsilanti (SPD) once found herself in a similar situation in Hesse.
