Umgangssprachlich ist ein Filz ein Punker. Das ist auf verfilzte Dreadlocks u.s.w. zurückzuführen.

Freunde des schwarzen Humors (Harrrrrllllloooo grüß euch) gehen auch noch mit FILZ als Bezeichnung für Farbige oder "Neger" mit. :D
Charakteristisch für die Namensgebung ist schlicht + einfach die Konsistenz der Haare.
Glaub nicht, dass es in irgendeiner Weise zu Anwendungsschwierigkeiten kommt. Für den Fall, dass doch Kompatibilitätsprobleme im Satzbau auftauchen, hier eine Starthilfe:
Man sagt "Du FILZ" anstelle von "Du Dreckspunk".
