Schmuser wurden früher im bayrischen Sprachraum Hausierer genannt welche, meist im ländlichen Bereich, heiratswillige zusammen führte. Die Bezeichnung rührt daher da der Hausierer manchmal einen Partner erst "schmackhaft" machen also "zuschmusen" (schönreden) musste.
Schau da kommt der Schmuser. Wen will er denn wohl heute wieder unterbringen?
🇬🇧 In the past, Schmuser were referred to as itinerant traders in the Bavarian region who, mostly in rural areas, brought together those willing to marry. The term comes from the fact that the itinerant trader sometimes had to make a partner "appetizing" or "sweet-talk" them into it.
