Der Begriff "Dauerwellensalat" ist umgangssprachlich, kommt aus dem Baden-Württembergischen Raum und steht allgemein für die italienische Salatsorte Lollo, welche Salatblätter in stark gewellter Form hat.
Der Begriff kam zum Tragen, weil manche Menschen einerseits die diversen in Umlauf befindlichen italienischen Lollo-Salatnamen nicht richtig aussprechen und anderseits die beiden Lollo-Salatarten rot und grün nicht auseinander halten können.
Für alle, die es genauer wissen wollen:
Lollo rosso, Lollo rossa und/oder Lollo rot stehen für den rötlichen Lollo Salat.
Lollo bionda (bionda = blond), Lollo bianco (bianco = weiß), Lollo verde (verde = grün) und/oder Lollo grün stehen für den grünen Lollo Salat.
Beispiel:
"Bitte zwei Stück von dem roten Dauerwellensalat dort drüben."
