ein Klassiker aus bayerischen Kabarett-Programmen (zumindest hab ich ihn bei bayerischen Kabarettisten schon mehrfach gehört).
die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass es Salat geben wird, dürfte als "eher gering" geschätzt werden, dass es der Hase selbst sein wird, eher hoch...
dies beschreibt recht gut ein Demokratieverständnis, wie es in Bayern weit verbreitet ist: Einigkeit und eine klare Mehrheit, dann kann man sich getrost über die Opposition hinwegsetzen (als wäre sie gar nicht da)...
Demokratie und Gemeinsamkeit sollte eigentlich heißen, dass man gemeinsam eine Lösung sucht, mit der alle Beteiligten tatsächlich leben können - im Bild eben auch der Hase... (nur leider erinnere ich mich nicht, welche Lösung das Kabarett vorzuschlagen hätte...)
Hitlers Machtergreifung war das Paradebeispiel dafür, wie die Demokratie sich selbst ein Bein stellen und sich beim Sturz das Genick brechen kann...
der Erfolg der AfD ist m.E. ein neuerlicher Versuch, die Demokratie mit ihren eigenen Mitteln zu schlagen oder zumindest als handlungsunfähig darzustellen.
dabei sollte Demokratie einen mündigen Bürger hervorbringen, der keine kontrollierenden und beherrschenden Instanzen mehr benötigt, weil er von sich aus ganz im SInne des Kant'schen Imperativs denkt und handelt.

A classic from Bavarian cabaret programs (at least I've heard it multiple times from Bavarian cabaret artists).
The probability that there will be salad can be estimated as "rather low," while the likelihood that the hare itself will be on the menu is rather high...
This describes quite well a concept of democracy that is widely spread in Bavaria: unity and a clear majority, then one can confidently disregard the opposition (as if it weren't there at all)...
Democracy and togetherness should actually mean that one seeks a solution together that all parties involved can truly live with - in the image, that also includes the hare... (only unfortunately, I don't remember what solution the cabaret would have proposed...)
Hitler's rise to power was the prime example of how democracy can trip itself up and break its neck in the fall... The success of the AfD is, in my opinion, a renewed attempt to beat democracy with its own means or at least to portray it as incapacitated.
Democracy should produce a responsible citizen who no longer needs controlling and dominating authorities because he thinks and acts on his own in the spirit of Kant's imperative.
